DeeDee is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. She moved to sunny California almost 3 years ago. In high school she was a competitive track and field athlete. After high school DeeDee studied Tae Kwon Do and, after 4 ½ half years of hard work, I she completed her goal and received a first degree Black Belt. "I loved the competitive fighting and always enjoyed the competition," stated DeeDee.

After moving to California, DeeDee pursued her interest in weight training and joined the West Coast Flash, coached by her best friend Cynthia Hill and husband Steve Teran. With some persuasion from Cynthia, she decided to enter her first WTF Western competition in March of this year. DeeDee placed 3rd overall on the obstacle course, but learned that she needed a lot of work in other areas. Working hard on those goals, she went to Nationals in Las Vegas and surpassed her obstacle course time by almost 5 seconds. My DeeDee's goals are to continue to improve on all of her times and speed. Since she is still a newcomer among these strong competitive athletes, DeeDee has realized that she has to build more muscles! "I am looking forward to the next California competition in April," she says.

DeeDee is currently a full time Customer Service / Sales Secretary for a local chemical distribution company in Cerritos, California. She has been with the company for 7 years. Her hobbies include surfing, snow boarding, water sports, rock climbing, skiing, and skydiving. For the past 2 years she has been attending school to get her Cosmetology license. "Working full time and attending school 28 hours a week has made trying to fit in a work out challenging. The good news is I will be graduating this year and I look forward to having extra time for training! Lord knows I have some muscles to still work on!" says DeeDee.
