Mary is originally from the Pocono Mountains (an original country girl) in Pennsylvania, but currently resides in Venice Beach, California. She was a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force upon graduation from Wilkes University, Pennsylvania. Mary holds a BS. Degree in Nursing, and she has minors in English and Aerospace Studies. In California, she is presently employed as a Register Nurse at St. John's Health Center and UCLA. In addition, Mary operates her own Personal Training Company, BicoastalFitness.com. Not only is she certified in personal training, she has certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support.

Mary enjoys the challenge of the WTF and has competed in two competitions, 2001 WTF World Challenge in Las Vegas and the 2002 Western Challenge in Brea, California.

While competing in her first competition in Vegas, Mary made top ten in all her age group categories. Despite having a bad elbow, Mary was one of the top athletes out of 144 competitors in the bench press part of the fitness skills as she benched 60 % of her bodyweight 42 repetitions.

In Brea, California, Mary took home First Place in her age group Grace & Physique and finished in the top 10 in the Overall Grace & Physique, Fitness Skills, and Dual Fitness Optional (a combination of the Obstacle Course, Fitness Skill, and Grace & Physique) despite having a painful elbow condition.

The small town girl from the Pocono Mountains is achieving success and prevailing in her professional and athletic careers while enjoying the Pacific Ocean.
