Athlete of the Month - Jan 2002

Name: Patti Franklin
Home: Lexington Park, Maryland
Occupation: Health Club Owner

Patti is 34 years old and the mother of four (3 daughters and 1 son). Their ages are 3, 6, 9, and 11. As a member of the Maryland Movers, Patti has competed in 4 WTF events. This past year, Patti finished 15th in Las Vegas out of 144 athletes at the WTF World Challenge and took 2nd in her age group. Recently, in Orlando she finished 2nd overall in the WTF Eastern Challenge as well as participated in the FAP Nationals in Vegas. After a years hard work, Patti and her Maryland Mover teammate, Dora Overs, opened a Worlds Gym in their hometown. She is also looking forward to getting her children involved with the CFC (Children's Fitness Challenge) a part of the WTF. "I love the challenge of the obstacle course and I love being a member of a team," states the fit mother of FOUR!
