Sheryl Doyle was born and raised in Berks County, Pennsylvania. As a high school athlete Sheryl ran track and played softball. In 1995, she moved to Tampa as she attended University of Tampa and graduated Magna cum Laude. She is a social worker for the Department of Children and Families.

Sheryl started competing in WTF events in 1998. At the 2000 WTF World Challenge in Clearwater Beach, Sheryl took first place in the Obstacle Course Event. Shortly after the event, Sheryl and Conal Doyle, attorney with Fowler White Law Firm, got married at Cloghan Castle in County Galway, Ireland.

In addition, Sheryl has been a model for the last 10 years and has appeared in numerous magazines and commercials. Her hobbies include traveling, skiing, volleyball, golf, and tennis. She is planning on making her WTF return at the 2002 WTF World Challenge in Las Vegas.
