Teresa is a Florida native and was raised out in the country (aka Lakeland). Her lover of fitness began at an early age with ballet and gymnastic classes from the age of 5 - although she was kicked out of her gymnastic class one year later because she couldn't do a split!

Teresa got certified years ago as an aerobics instructor, and is now certified as a personal trainer and fitness counselor as well. She loves helping new ones out at the WTF headquarters in Tampa - a place she practically calls home since she's there training twice a week. Teresa first competed in the 2001 World Challenge in Las Vegas after only training one month.

Teresa just recently started her own personal training business and so far loves the freedom of being her own boss. She also appeared in the August 2002 Oxygen Magazine's Future of Fitness Section and has enjoyed hearing from the many readers who visited her website (www.teresaevans.com) since the publication of that issue. She hopes to one day open up her own personal training studio and specialize in sports-specific training and helping new fitness competitors prepare for their competitions.

"I love doing my routine - although that's probably what I'm worst at. Poor Jennifer (Jennifer Rosen - her choreographer) just throws her hands up in the air most times when we practice! But these competitions are so much fun. If you take yourself too serious - you won't have a good time and if you can't have fun - what's the point in it? I just try to be the best I can be each time - and if I happen to win someday - hey that would be great. If not - I still make some great memories!"
