The Web Series - Part 1:
I'm an Athlete, why would I want a website?

http://championbiz.com

Ok, so you're a Tri-Fitness Champion, a fitness model, an aspiring actress, a personal trainer or a really athletic mom. Why would you want to have your own website?

You're an expert!
You've been working hard, training for weeks, months, even years, to be in the best shape of your life. You're getting a reputation locally or even nationally, as a successful athlete. People ask you questions, like "How did you do it?" or "Can you teach me your training secrets". Well, believe it or not, you are establishing yourself as an expert in fitness. You have a wealth of knowledge locked-up inside your head. Why not share it with aspiring athletes all over the world? On the Internet, anyone can write their own advice column, articles, even books!.

Here are some ideas for your articles :

1. Training tips
2. Nutritional tips
3. Healthy Recipes
4. Diets
5. What does and doesn't work
6. Success stories
7. Before and After stories
8. How fitness changed your life
9. Stories about your competitions - your techniques, your contest-day routines, etc.

You're a fitness model or actress - or just want to be one!
Ok, so all that work has transformed you into a "Fitness Babe". What if you wanted to show off all those photos you have at home, or even actually do some modeling or acting. Whether you are an aspiring model or not, everyone wants to share their photos with friends and family. What better way, than to have them all in one place where everyone knows where to find them, 7 days a week / 24 hrs a day. If you are aspiring to do some modeling or acting, you'll need a place for potential clients to see your portfolio. You can just put the address of your website on your resume!

Here are some ideas for your web page:

1. Photo Gallery / portfolio page
2. Bio page
3. About me page
4. Resume/ previous modeling / acting experience page
5. Form to contact you
6. Video clips of you

You're a Personal Trainer
You've taken the leap into your own business, using your expertise to train other people. You've gone through the training, you're certified, and you are working with clients. Now, you pass out your business card to dozens, if not hundreds, of potential clients. What if you put a website address on your business card?

How could this help your Personal Training business?
1. Your business will look more professional and established.
( even if you just started last week! )
2. All your articles and tips will give you more credibility and establish you as an expert in your potential client's mind. This will persuade many more clients to schedule a session with you!
3. If your website contains the answers to all the common questions you are asked by potential clients, you'll save a lot of valuable time. Time that can be used more productively.
4. Video clips or photos of you in action - this will sell your service better than anything you could tell them on the phone!

I could go on for days with examples, but you get the idea.

So, you see, as an athlete, YOU have something to say, some ideas to share, some wisdom to impart on those less experienced, or something to promote. You may be promoting your business, your products, or yourself, but, with your own website, you can reach the world!
